(Teacherxstudent) Kai has her life figured out at the age of nineteen. She's been independent ever since she was thirteen years old and doesn't rely on anyone in her life to support her. She has her own house, her own car and pays her own bills. Kai has been supporting herself ever since she left her foster parents when she was sixteen years old and has been doing it on her own since then. When it comes to independence, Kai can say she has everything she needs and that includes herself and only herself. But when someone comes into her life and makes her fall harder than she fell before, realizing that being independent comes with a price but allowing someone inside your life comes with an even bigger price that Kai soon comes face to face with. Kai's life changes in a way she can't comprehend cause this woman she allowed herself to get comfortable with becomes a whole new meaning to the word independent.
