Duty - a word most women understand. Honor - a word men strive to attain. What happens when a woman, expected to embody the word duty, desires more than the life she was pre-ordained? She falls from grace. Isabella, known as Izzy to her fellow angels, dares to step out of her destined role and take up arms in a heavenly war. As punishment she is stripped of her wings and banished to the Earth plane. Worse, the sisters who joined her mantra of freewill fall to Earth with her. Tasked with surviving in a realm filled with sin, Izzy becomes the leader of this unlikely, untrained group of six. Together they form a band where they literally learn to harness their heavenly voices and sing for their supper. Nathanael was born a warrior angel but the only way he can fully get his halo is to marry. But fate is playing games and his pre-ordained wife has become The Forsaken. Determined to change things, Nate risks it all and falls to the Earthly realm only to end up in serious trouble - and getting his hide saved by the most beautiful and unconventional angel he has ever laid eyes on. Sparks fly when Nate and Izzy realize they have been set on the path of self-discovery together. But destiny is a passionate thrum Izzy has learned to ignore. Nate quickly discovers honor is useless without the woman he loves by his side and he's willing to sacrifice it all to prove it. Izzy knows all about heavenly sacrifices. She will not abandon her sisters to the Earthly realm and would rather battle demons than admit she has feeling for her soul-mate. Her pride might be the greatest threat to them all. One of the most common wonders of the human existence is, "Why do good people do bad things?" The answer: an epic battle in the heavenly realms rages on between the Light and the Darkness with each passing minute. A battle that humans - well, most humans - can't see. The Darkness works to influence our souls, creating selfishness, resentment, anger, and hatred. The Light works to expose the Darkness for what it really is: an influence straight from Hell. These two opposing forces each have their own means of waging warfare. Nephilim, creatures of the Light, have been given the mission to fight against the demons of Darkness that bid humanity to do their will. Unfortunately, not all Nephilim want to accept this mission, favoring a mission entirely of their own. A secret society of Nephilim - human descendants of angels - operates at New City University. This secret society, the Five Minds, is made up of organized cohorts establishing each of their roles - the historians, the delegators, the advocates, the healers, and the perceivers - based on their angelic abilities. Together, these Nephilim serve the Light by fighting the demons of Darkness, otherwise known as fallen angels, by intervening when the demons coerce or possess humans into doing their will. While their operation has been straightforward for the past century, something is stirring in their quaint college town. Unprecedented violence is threatening everything they've worked for. As an uprising grows from within the security of their network, the Five Minds begins to discover that the demons' reach not only extends to humans, but to Nephilim as well.

She was just a normal girl with a semi-normal life. Her mother was a die-hard Christian, and her father wasn't around. Then everything changed. Now she sits in a motel room with two strangers and the father she never knew. And she knows her true identity. She is a nephilim. A human/angel hybrid. Follow Celeste Roberts on her journey into the world of supernatural beings she'd only ever seen in movies. Stay with her as she learns about her powers and falls into an unexpected romance. THIS IS A REVISION OF A STORY I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN. I recently reread the story, and a lot of people are uncomfortable with the age gap that I originally wrote. I wrote the story while I was still in high school, so now that I'm older rereading it, I definitely agree. However, I do still like my story and want people to enjoy it, so I felt the need to rewrite some of it. Really, it's the exact same with the exception of the age gap and a few character inconsistencies. TW: Brief mentions of drug abuse DISCLAIMERS: 1. I don't mean to offend anyone with anything I say about church or religion. 2. It goes without saying that details in this story will be different than in the show. 3. I own none of the Supernatural original characters or concepts.
