Layla has loads of friends in her suburban white school. Layla is happy. Layla decides to wear the Hijab a garment worn on the head permitted for Muslim women to wear. Layla loses friends and moves away. Layla is not happy. Layla gives up on life. That basically sums up everything that happens. She is due to start school at a dress code nazi, strict, foreign naked, private school a month after she and her family move into her new house. It's her chance for a new life, new friends, and new found happiness! I mean everyone loves fresh starts right! Right? After staring school Layla is outcast immediately for the mere purpose that she is a hijabi. She eats lunch in the library and is always the only one left in class alone when the teacher calls for partner work. And the worse part? Her councillors trying to get her to "confess" that she's been forced into wearing the hijab, and she's just a poor girl being blocked from opportunities. That's just the cherry on top. Oh! And there's also that boy who likes to crash at other peoples pools, and is constantly stalking her. Great. Layla begins to learn that life isn't all darkness and depressing. She starts making friend with this annoying boy along with others. The moment she lets go of all the negativity and doing the things she loves to do is the moment she starts actually living her life. Despite of what she chooses to do. This is the story of her breakthrough.

A tale of friends, love and storm| Aliyah Santos is the hijabi valedictorian at the elite Prestige High Academia - but that title might not last as long as Clarissa Cheng; her rival and also captain of the school's cheer squad have not given up on making her life as hard as hell. ***** The last year of highschool was supposed to be wonderful and memorable, but for Aliyah, it was far from wonderful; but at least she made memorable bittersweet memories. May the lord grant her the steadfastness she needed. Dealing with her lifetime amnesia which started since she was ten, she still had to lie low in other to avoid being the next target of the anonymous Gossip-Girl-wannabe; an attention-seeking student who went rampage and writing truthful lies about the king and queens who literarily ruled the school; Aliyah's name seems to be on the list. As if life hasn't treated her bad enough, she falls in love with the boy she knew she can never be with - a non-Muslim neither her parents nor her religion can approve. In search of her past, shredded memories, she met the trending lie; Mr. Umbrella. Mr. Umbrella uncover many secrets that changed her already worst life into something far from worst.
