Lena Luthor was raised in a home where you could be beaten for simply looking at someone. She didn't bother with love or figuring out her feelings about all of her friends. It just wasn't important. When she moved away and her brother was put in jail, she assumed that she was attracted to men. She didn't know otherwise.
