Commander of the Founders: War and Peace follows Heda Lexa - from the television show, "The 100" - who, after her undesirable armistice with the Mountain Men, finds herself in Trikru's secluded sister clan, Cavikru. With the fear of war against the Ice Nation, Azgeda, looming over the 12 Clan Coalition, Lexa seeks advice from a former student of hers, Didrika kom Cavikru, who is the commanding nightblood of her own clan. She hopes to forge an alliance with Cavikru to prevent war. Not only that, but she's also playing a dangerous game to get her former ally and crush, Clarke Griffin kom Skaikru, along with her entire clan back on her side. However, not everything goes according to plan and Heda Lexa finds herself stuck between love and politics.
Didrika kom Cavikru lives a mundane life as a figurehead for her clan's Royal Court. Battling sexism and hatred caused by a tarnished family reputation on a daily basis, Didrika wishes to overthrow the Royal Court and create a safer environment for women. When an old friend, Heda Lexa kom Trikru, visits her, stepping out of her clan's old ways seems possible. Unfortunately, getting her people to step out of isolation is riddled with assassination attempts and coups. While in the Coalition's capital, Polis, Didrika finds herself among old and new friends as well as enemies.
