"Once she reached the front of the classroom, the whole class was silent. Miss Derman smiled coldly. 'Everyone open your books. Page 132, come on now.'
I opened my book. A new chapter. That's right, I thought, we're going to talk about genetics... I smiled silently to myself, this ought to be interesting."

Yeah. Stephanie Gray is a boring nerd. I know what they say. But that, was BEFORE Dino came to my school. After my application to Birchwood High got denied, I thought I could live life the way I used to. But, I've said enough. I shouldn't risk the lives of all people who might read this and think that it's not for them. Read at your own risk, humans...

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! First and foremost, this is a fanfictional revision or fanfictional reimagining of Jurassic Park 3. If you are not a fan of revisions/reimaginings, this is not the story for you. This is not an original story. It may be an original creative spin on a pre-existing story, but it is not 100% original. Please do not bring negativity here. If you do not like it, then do not read it. Ignore it. Secondly, this reimagining includes a character with alien and predator origin elements, and thus, there are AvP elements implemented into this reimagining. There is a dropship as well as Yautja technology, medicine, and a shadowed appearance of an original Yautja character I created. The time period may be in the nineteen hundreds for this reimagining, 1996 to be exact, but the AvP character has access to technology, medicine, and all other things, far beyond the nineteen hundreds. Lastly, this reimagining is part of a larger fanfictional reimagining of many sci-fi horror thriller franchises. It's mainly linked with my AvP universe I put together as the AvP character in this story is the main character of those stories. She may only be seventeen years old in this story, but she has technically lived longer than that and done a great many things before getting stranded on Isla Sorna with my main Jurassic oc. Written by Sasha Taylor of Jedi Angel Productions | Based upon the Jurassic Park 3 Screenplay by Peter Buchman, Alexander Payne, and Jim Taylor | Based upon the cinematic universe created by Steven Spielberg | Based upon characters created by Michael Crichton

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! Gildarts found an orphaned girl, whom he's sure he's met before but can't recall when, and decides to bring her to the guild. Unaware that that very human being would change everything. Including Gray Fullbuster's heart. ***** Alexa pulled away. "That doesn't make any sense." "Neither does this." Gray said. "But I don't care. I'm sick of trying to pretend I can live without you. Don't you understand that? Can't you see it's killing me?" She stared at him. She could see he meant what he said, could see it in his eyes she knew as well as her own, in the brushed shadows under those eyes, the pulse pounding in his throat. Her desire for answers battle the more primal part of her brain, and lost. "Kiss me then." She whispered, and he pressed his mouth against hers, their hearts slamming together through the thin layers of wet fabric that divided them. And she was drowning in it, the sensation of him kissing her; of rain everywhere, running off her eyelashes; of letting his hands slide freely over the wet, crumpled fabric of her dress, made thin and clinging by the rain. It was almost like having his hands on her bare skin, her chest, her hips, her stomach; when he reached the hem of her dress, he gripped her legs, pressing her harder against the wall while she wrapped them around his waist. ***** Writing is pretty crap in the first few chapters, but I swear my vocabulary improved later on, so please bear with it! I promise you'll love the story! <3
