Our Stars Entwined

I looked out in front of me in a dreamy state. The small, pool of water surrounded me, gleaming a deep purple in the sunset. The water rushes in and out silently, it was the only sound I could hear. I watched as three ducks silently floated along. I looked down and saw the gleam of hundreds of little silver fish quickly swam along. I gazed into the evening sky; pinkish white clouds , slightly covering the orange-red sun. I looked to my left and saw the mountain ranges, covered with the wild flowers and fir trees. There were deer at one end of the lake, taking their last drink before heading to their nests in the underbrush for the night. I felt as if this unimaginable world would always be a part of me.

I startled when I felt firm arms wrap around my waist pulling me towards a muscular chest. His pungent scent invading my nostrils. I relaxed into his embrace and he began leaving a trial of wet kisses on my neck. "why did you bring me here" I asked. He told me we were going away for the weekend without informing me about our destination.

He sighed "I figured I needed to tell you the truth before things go wrong". I turned around in his embrace, wrapped my arms around his waist, nuzzled my face into his neck inhaling his unique scent.

"Lila, I'm not an ordinary businessman as you think I am" he started. I looked into his ocean deep blue eyes, I didn't say anything encouraging him to continue as deep down I knew his words were going to turn my world upside down. "Lila, my world it's not as simple as it looks" he sighed...
