This is a tragic romantic spoof on the 'red string of fate' myth. If you're not familiar with it, supposedly there's an invisible red string tied around your pinky that attaches you to your soul mate. Christa and Dylan are long-time friends that have been dating for several years, Dylan calls Christa and tells her to meet-up with him, Christa thinks he's going to finally propose to her after all these years, but she's utterly wrong.
