Everyone started whispering and staring. I put my head down. "Clumsy freak" "what a slut, did you hear her offer herself to him?" A scoff followed and it kept going. My whole body was now shaking, tears were falling from my eyes. "God why is she even at our school?" I couldn't control it anymore and yet I couldn't get my legs to move. "What's wrong with you freak?". "Why don't you donate your brain to science so they can figure out what's wrong with you freak!" "She's such a fat ugly nerd". "What the hell guys what's wrong with all of you!" A loud voice boomed behind her.
Meet Cassidy Parker your average 17 year old girl... Well maybe not see she's always got her nose in books ands an honor student. She's a science geek and already has scholar ships to Duke university for biochemistry, she's graduating early since she has a higher IQ than some of the teachers. Her life sounds pretty great right but in reality it's not. Anxiety is her biggest demon and it's only gotten worse. Her escape? Singing and drawing. The only ones who know about that besides her family is her best friend Jade who was the most popular girl in school and still kinda is, only she never does anything because she's always with Cassidy or her boyfriend. Cassidy has never been in love or loved. She's never felt a spark from someone's touch or her heart flutter like in all the books she reads.
That all changes when the schools new bad boy Chase Sterling shows up and they cross paths. Will that spark ignite and will she finally show him the real her? or will it sizzle out and leave Cassidy regretting everything and locking her back in her cage?
