Ain't Losin' Another One

(*takes place 5 years before appearance in The Walking Dead*)

Daryl Dixon had always lived a life on his own, even as a teenager. With an abusive brother and alcoholic father, Daryl grew up learning how to survive, but not just in nature; he learned to survive in a world full of hateful people.
With a crossbow and tons of survival knowledge in his mind, Daryl set off from home with his ex-marine older brother Merle to get away from the abuse they knew all too well. Living off the land for years, they sometimes forgot there were other people around.
The Dixon Brothers met a group of people while out hunting one day, and they agreed to team up. Daryl falls for Bri, the 19 year old daughter of the group's leader, Marcus. And when her father finds out, he and Daryl fight, which ends up with Marcus dead and the Dixon Brothers on the run.
Daryl swore he'd find Bri again some day.
But this is just the beginning...
