Annabelle is broken. She's lived in an orphanage for 5 years, after the death of her mother and after her father got taken to jail for abusing her. She's never smiled a genuine smile since and never shed a single tear.
But when a family comes and adopts this 15 year old despite her lack of words, things begin to change for Annabelle. She gets the chance to start again at a new school with a completely different environment.
Is it possible for her to trust her new family? Or for her to let a boy into her pained heart?
Will she even be able to pick up the pieces?
