Stainburrow (Prologue)
Steampunk city with a type of regime, fantasy elements and vampires (a lot more like Alucard from Hellsing then this teen drama bullshiet) guy gets pushed into a rebellion by a pupet master like entity. Plus there is a horrific enemy with lots of gore which was inspired by monsters from deadspace. Look i am awful at powerphrasing. just read a couple of chapters (and excuse how bad the first one is, ill have to rewrite that one ;-;) and see if you like it. This now serves as a prologue to my current much larger book (Stainburrow) but it is very separate from it. It also requires a complete re-write. Should information in this conflict with something in that book than Stainburrow should be considered cannon rather than the prologue.Complete

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. This story is inspired by ancient China and doesn't have a specific time period it plays out in (remember that it's a fantasy world and not meant to be 100% history accurate, it's a world I made not a documentary lol) and all characters are my own and I do not allow for them to be used (fanart or fanfics are okay as long as you give credit!), I cannot say more than that without spoiling everything! but if you enjoy reading Danmei you will surely love this! I am actively working on getting my drawings in the chapters! and I use modern (not American) time and measurement increments so that nobody has to go and google it just to keep reading lol A GENERAL TW: there is gore, SA, torture, just in general gruesome stuff but it's all part of the story line and things WILL get better, there is both a ton of hurt and a ton of comfort so do not worry! If you read this I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
