Merlin was planning on spending his summer locked up in his room playing video games with his friends.
NOT going on vacation with his parents.
Which is sadly what happens, his parents decide to spend their summer at the country club in Hawaii leaving Merlin to just wander around the island with nothing to do but watch people surf. Then a certain surfer with slight pale skin and beautiful blue eyes who seems to live in the water catches Merlin's attention.

I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together.
