In 2009, Maddie Reid  a 16 year old girl who has to leave  Adelaide Australia where she's always lived to move to England  when her dad gets a job promotion.

Over the other side of the world in Ireland is Darcy Leyland, another 16 year old girl who has to leave her home town, Mullingar, to live in England so her family can be closer to her aunt, who has a sever case of cancer. 

In Wolverhampton England lives 16 year old Liam Payne, struggling to settle into secondary school, finding it hard to make friends and often getting into fights or getting  bullied.

When the two girls and Liam meet at school, could it be a  new start for the girls and for Liam to get the friends he has always hoped for?
