Rebecca was not a ordinary girl. her father was renowned ghost hunter/inventor who made her move hundreds of mile away from their home to an house rumored to be haunted. Originally the plan was to stay a couple of weeks, investigate and go back. But things take a horrendous turn when Rebecca's dad is murdered on their first night there, and her mother goes insane. She and her brother were taken in by their next door neighbors, who advise her not to go that house ever again. But Rebecca has other motives. She is determined to exploit the secrets behind this house and uncover who her father's murderer really is.
Easier said than done. She befriends Ethan, son of the lady who took her in and her classmate, who was just as determined to find the secrets of that mansion. She makes friends with this other girl too... A girl with almost see through skin and long, black hair. a girl who had a mental disorder nobody could cure. This girl who only Rebecca could see and talk to. Unknowingly she befriends her father's murderer, all along fighting with her demons telling her that it was her fault. How will she choose to fight this battle of friendship, betrayal and love?

This year 21 Year old Hunter Brigley and his 7 year old sister Hope and 2 others are forced onto the plantation well before the lockdown and its a struggle from the moment the gate closes to stay alive. Hunter uses his common sense and logic to his advantage, but soon fear of loosing his sister overwhelms him and he soon finds out is just how confusing and distorted reality gets once inside the Plantation walls. He has to risk everything just to save his and his sisters life. This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him.
