Brooklyn Keyes has had enough with what Drew Kydd had put her through. He's stolen her cookies in Kindergarden, ripped her new skirt in first grade, told everyone she had cooties in the third, cut a lock of her hair off and fed it to the neighbor's dog in fourth, and so on. It was until the 8th grade when Drew had been put into juvie for setting a part of her house on fire. That was the last she ever saw him, until senior year, where there's a new kid, who looks way too familiar, although she somehow just can't put her finger to it. The kid was just way too nice to be human. And he smiles way too often. No way it could be Drew, right? I mean, he doesn't even have the same name as Drew, so it can't be real. And doesn't Drew have a few more years? But what about when he confesses his feelings for Brooklyn during Homecoming in front of 500 people what does she do? She does that onky thig she can think of. Run. But she can only run for so long. Until someone catches her.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
