Nathan cheats on his high school girlfriend, Christy. Christy is pregnant with his baby but she doesn't get chance to tell him before they split up.

Alexis Sykes lives with her foster parents and she gets the occasional visit from her biological mother. Her foster parents and mother were always very secretive about her dad and she doesn't know anything about him until her foster dad lets it slip that her biological father lives in London.

When Alexis is thirteen years old she decides that she doesn't want to be in the dark about who her dad is anymore. She goes behind everyone's back and goes to London in search of her biological father with her best friend, Caiden. What happens when she starts to lose hope after knocking on numerous Mr Sykes' doors and not finding her father? What will she do when a stranger's kindness leads her to more unanswered questions? Will she ever find her dad?
