Saarya has been gifted by the gods. Gifted a life, and even if it is a life of servitude it is better than death. Destined to carry the fae goddess Kaltey within her, she travels to spread the magic that only she can channel. But she is only a chosen vessel; the goddess has not yet resided within her. And when the High Fae, who border the Barkarian's lands, invade, there is too little time. And so Saarya is left a vessel to the wrong god, and destined to travel to a distant kingdom, where she may not be considered blessed, but cursed. Is it destiny that draws her into the High Fae land, was she always supposed to find her way to the Empire of the Sun and Moon, to those she knows so little about but somehow familiar? Or do her duty and childhood draw her back to her home, where her life has been destiny has been planned since the day she was born? Can she choose between those who battle for her heart? Her family or her friends?
