More than just history is uncovered this year...

As archaeologists continue to explore the history of the ancient city of Pompeii, they uncover a fungus that had been buried beneath the ashes for centuries and now threatens the human race. The dead are walking once again, and Luna is torn between the theories of science and religion when it comes to the cause of this infection.
With the help of marine biologist Mark, the duo not only try to survive in this new hellish world, but try to figure out the origin of the plague that is consuming the world continent by continent.
