On her 18th birthday, a gift arrives in the mail. a book. but not just any book, her copy of Peter Pan which she lost one night 10 years ago.
That day on her way to work at Mrs Maddigan's bookstore, she is knocked over by a strange, blonde haired boy with a cheeky grin. He apologises, wishes her a happy birthday and hands her a white rose.
How did he know it was her birthday? Why does he keep showing up with roses that mean things like "Youth" and "Desire"?
Have they met before? Are they friends?

Abigail is a lonely girl who lived in a small town called Storybrooke. She was living among the most famous and infamous fairy tale characters that ever lived. Abigail however was a human adopted by her fairy tale family to live in Storybrooke forever. She had no friends, was constantly teased for not having magic, and was almost 18 years old. One day she finally had enough of the verbal abuse she received and decided to run away. She wakes up in a strange land surrounded by teenage boys with one in particular who takes an unwanted interest in her. His name was Peter Pan. The most gruesome villain in the land. Abigail believes that there is good in Peter Pan but when she can't leave Neverland until she admits to herself who she really is. Peter Pan and Abigail spend time together both good with some laughs and bad with a lot of screaming and tears while she attempts to get off of the island without any help from Peter or the lost boys. Will Abigail make it off the island? Will Peter give up his villain ways to be with Abigail? Does Abigail stay in Neverland forever and not age? Or does she take Peter and the lost boys back to Storybrooke with her? What happens when the troublesome Peter Pan meets his new , English neighbors and their Darling daughter ? What happends when one of Peters friends asks him to be his Wingman for said Darling ? Theres just one teeny tiny Problem Peter hates that particular Darling. Well maybe he doesn't actually hate her? But he sure does act like it... some- most times Why? She'd like to know herself. No one is perfect, I vilified aunt millicent, Wendy has traumatic experiences Peter is a jerk... Disclaimer, I own nothing but the sense of humor they have, and my plot line. After Wendy Darling left Neverland and later died, Peter Pan was never the same. Heartbroken, he became dark and ruthless and replaced all his jolly lost boys for ones that killed as a sport. Peter believed that he would never be good hearted again. At least, not on his own. So he came up with a plan to take a descendant of Wendy's to Neverland so that he could possibly learn to be good again and save Neverland from rotting in eternal darkness. Pan let the silence hang in the tent between them, you could have cut the tension with a butter knife. "You think I've enchanted you into falling for me? How Peter Pan Grew Up (A Bridge-Fic Between "Peter Pan" and "Hook")
I know this must come as a shock to you. You might have seen the movie, some years back, and thought, "But it couldn't be possible!" I saw it too; I would say that Moira and Peter both looked better than the couple on-screen, but I can't fault the moviemakers for trying; it's an aunt's prerogative to believe that her own family is better looking than some paid actors. At least they got Neverland nearly right... I wonder if any of them had been there as a child-I'm sorry, I'm babbling, aren't I? Where was I? Oh yes: Now on the shelf before you stands a book, haughtily maintaining that the boy-who-would-always-remain-a-boy actually managed to grow up. It almost feels like your own childhood has been stolen, doesn't it? Yes, it's true; I, Margaret, I did it. I made Peter grow up. And I am sorry for it. Please read this story with an understanding heart, and forgive me. *Author's Note: This is meant to be a sort of "bridge" between the film Peter Pan, and the movie Hook, exploring the progression from carefree magic child to jaded workaholic.
