The reason why she had taken Percy and Jason from their camps wasn't just to bring the Greek and Romans together to fight Gaea, it was all part of a bigger plan. When Chiron said that the Greek and Roman demigods had had quarrels, Leo had always assumed that they had already had the two separate camps. But they hadn't. The first original camp, with both Greeks and Romans, was right there in front of him. This was Hera's plan. To bring them back. Back to where they had started.
