"Magic is real, Ethan, and it is more beautiful and terrifying than you can possibly imagine."

Ethan Schwarz has never left his mansion. Inflicted with a strange sickness, he has spent his entire life in the comfort of his own home, cut off from the world. This all change when four mysteriously inhuman assassins killed his entire family at surprise reunion, and he begins learning the truth behind the Schwarz House.

On the last wishes of his dead mother, Ethan is sent to find Aliah, The World of Magic, to escape a nefarious plot on his life, and to locate the whereabouts of his long-lost sister. However, things don't go as planned, and he arrives somewhere else entirely. A place that shouldn't exist, and is filled with dangers on every side. In order to escape alive, Ethan must learn the truth of his origins and harness the magic that comes with it.

A.N: This is my first book so criticism is accepted, but only the constructive kind, please. Also, yes the cover art is stupidly bad, but I drew it on a computer, so bear with me.

Growing up, Imogene Baker knew that she was different from everyone else, but little did she know how different she really was. I grew up as an orphan, so I didn't know what it was like to have a real family. She was found on the streets as a baby, and since then, she'd been bounced around from foster home to foster home. She didn't know anything about her real family or who she was. Now, twenty-five years later, Imogene lives in a small apartment and works at a local coffee shop. She didn't really have any friends growing up. She has been an outsider all her life. Well, that was before she met Aaron Dawkins and knew what it was like to have a real friend. Aaron was kind to her and was always there for her when she needed him. He made her feel special, and she couldn't help but care deeply for him. He even promised her that he would help her find out her true identity. But then something weird happened that took her by surprise. She found out that she was no ordinary girl. She had unimaginable powers that she didn't know she possessed. Magical powers that she didn't even know existed. With these newly awakened powers, she was scared and confused more than ever. On her quest of discovering who she is, she met a guy who told her he knew about her parents. He seemed to know everything about her, and she was grateful to finally find out what was missing in her life. It didn't take long for Imogene to get close to this stranger. He pulled her in with his enchanting charm and looks and desperate for answers. She put her trust in him. However, deep down, doubts were lurking in Imogene's mind; doubts about her past and her supposed future. Even though this stranger gave her all the answers, could she really trust him? Was she really who he said she was? Finding out the truth will be the easy part, but will she figure it out soon enough to save her kingdom from the evil that wants to take it over? And will she be able to save her own heart in the process?
