When she finds a book with the peculiar name of "How to Have An Adventure in 3 Simple Steps", the book ends up living to its name when a boy named Castel Simons appears in her bedroom the next day, ready to sweep her into a life filled with traitorous people, parties, first loves, and facing your past. All in her very own town of Everett. But when a new boy shows up, everything goes horribly wrong. And Alexis realizes that having an adventure-filled life comes with things she just wasn't ready to go through.

Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. She’s never given a second glance to Drew, who is a popular footballer, and she’s determined to keep it that way, no matter what he says or does. Her and her best friend Tia like to blend into the background and ignore the world but it’s getting harder to go through school life unnoticed. Drew is starting to be nice to her, he’s started giving her second glances and when Alexis finally gets the chance to confront him and tell him to back off he does the one thing she was not expecting. Their life is perfect, but all good things must come to an end.... A story about a girl trying to survive high school, who then inadvertently falls in love with a guy. Just your regular teenage love story.
