Life on the streets isn't easy, especially in Gotham. Murders and thieves lurked every shadow, mafias and gangs haunted the allies and corruption oozed from every inch of the city, but I can't complain, I chose this life. As for me, resorting to stealing and robbery with my friend Cat to survive has given me a reputation to be in and out of juvie, though they can't keep an escape artist locked that long. Nobody seems to know my real name except for Cat, of course. To everyone I am just "Jane Doe", made up only in stories, but that part of my life end the day I got caught. Being captured by the GCPD was a big fall in my ego, but a door of opportunity opened for me. Then I met him and let's just say he was more than just a partner in crime.

After two long years of being in Arkham she was given her "sane" certificate, meaning she was free to leave that shit hole. While being trapped in that dump she had lots of time to ponder, deciding she wanted to join the GCPD.
