Years after a mass bombing in Manhattan, factions have rose from the ashes of gangs and the remaining citizens become roaming wasters. The ruthless "Manhattan Triad" attempts to use the created anarchy to their advantage. Meanwhile, The Republic tries to bring back order and government to the city.
Meet Dawn, a small but feisty waster left alone after a raid from one of the factions. The death of her friend has caused her to loath both factions and their members. That is until she meets Riker, a squad leader of the Republic who is dedicated to training recruits and rescuing wasters.
Their personalities clash, sparks fly, and romance is created as they try to build A New Nation.
