Tozhia, about to turn 17, has just graduated high school a year early and has an urge to travel. After endlessly begging her parents, they agree to let her travel to Sydney, Australia, where she rents her very own apartment for one whole year. After encountering an interesting boy in the grocery store, Tozhia's year gets a lot more interesting. She soon meets the band of boys that dubbed themselves 5 Seconds of Summer and they teach her how to let go and be unpredictable. All the while, she's falling fast for one of the boys that doesn't seem to want to admit that he wants her too.
