My parents divorced when I was three. I may have only been three but that was one of the hardest times in my life. Throughout my life, I never talked to anyone about my problems because I couldn't handle being judged or something so I kept to myself.
But as I reach eighteen, I learn that it's healthier to talk to someone. But I don't have anyone that I think would care. Or that's what I thought.

When I think about the past I know that things happen for a reason, but sometimes these thing make you feel alone, worthless, like you are alone even if you are surrounded by people who say they will be there for you no matter what. Then when you reach for them you find that they are too far away to reach out for. You are left alone, stranded, drowning, without anyone wanting to get to you. When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking.
