What begins as a transforming love between Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak in the summer of 1965 quickly derails into something far more tumultuous when Dean is drafted in the Vietnam War. Though the two both voice their relationship is one where saying goodbye is never a real truth, their story becomes fraught with the tragedy of circumstance. In an era where homosexuality was especially vulnerable, Twist and Shout is the story of the love transcending time, returning over and over in its many forms, as faithful as the sea. * NOT MINE *

Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak begin their Senior year by noticing each other. Nothing changes but the voice nagging them to talk to one another. Join Dean and Cas in their journey to find their own unique love in a homophobic southern town. WARNING: Extra cheesy puns, jokes, and fluff. Just saying, I warned you. Although the title should've let you in on that shit.

The Winter of 1959 is here, and Dean Winchester meets Castiel Novak at a party. When Dean finds out Castiel is gay, and quite literally has secrets up his sleeves, how will he react? For Dean knows he is most definitely straight... Right? ~~~~ I got this idea from a roleplay I was doing on Supernatural Amino. It's almost the same thing with some changes. We didn't intend for this to be a story so, yes, lots of Twist and Shout references in here. Don't hate me. I was Dean in the roleplay by the way. (That rhymed) WARNINGS: EXTREME TWIST AND SHOUT REFERENCES, References to Self Harm, Cursing, Main Character Deaths. Dean- Kae Winchester Novak Cas- 😈Crazy!Sam😈 Sammy- Lonely_Angel (Trenchcoated) Angel- Castiel (wonder boy) Crazy!Sam is the one who came up with the idea for the roleplay. I put the word stuff on the cover but thats all. I got the pic off Google Images. DISCLAIMER: STILL DO NOT OWN SUPERNATURAL. I BORROWED THE CHARACTERS, BUT BASICALLY EVERYTHING ELSE IS MINE/PEEPS IN THE ROLEPLAY. I PROMISE I WILL GIVE THE CHARACTERS BACK AFTER I'M DONE. OKAY SEE I GAVE THEM BACK ALL THE CW'S AND SUPERNATURAL WRITERS'. (Until I need them for another story anyway...)

DISCLAIMER- None of this story whatsoever was written by me. All credits go to the original writers on Archive of Our Own. I'm uploading this to Wattpad for your convenience. Enjoy. 14 year old Castiel Novak was always different. And he payed for it. The bullying seemed endless. Until one day when someone sticks up for him. The new kid, Dean Wichester, just as much of an outsider as Cas. Neither of the two boys had ever had a friend before, and in there lonliness forms an unlikely friendship. A bond that grows stronger over the next two years. A bond that's special and seemingly unbreakable. Until Dean leaves and circumstances cause the two boys to drift apart, despite their undeniable chemistry. When they're brought together five years later their spark is rekindled. But do both of them have too many demons to keep their flame alight?

I love the idea of Destiel, that a human and an angel can move beyond the physical boundaries of the human body, and find something deeper in each other, during a time when they are both ships tossing in a chaotic sea of emotions, and at a time when their lives are absolutely falling apart. They cling to one another, each becoming the other's safe harbor. It's transcends sex, moves beyond the fact that they are both in male form. It is love in its purest form, and it is on a deep and spiritual level. The idea that someone as broken as Dean Winchester can find someone that can see past the darkest parts of himself to the light within and still love him I think is the most beautiful thing on earth. That is what I was trying to write here. I hope those that read it like it. Vote for it if you like it. I will keep adding to it until it is complete, so keep checking back in.

In the year 1970 on October fifteenth, after being outed as gay by his religious homophobic family and ridiculed by the people in his town, twenty two year old, Castiel Novak decides to take his own life inside of his own home. Skip forward to the year 2015 on October second, twenty five year old, Dean Winchester moves into the same house Castiel once owned. He doesn't believe it when people tell him there's something off about the house but all of his disbeliefs fly out the window when he meets a specific man who may or may not have been living in the same house as Dean for a while. A/N: Please do not mind the awful grammar in this. This was my first time writing something and I was like thirteen (ew). •Started June 2nd, 2018 • Ended July 28th•

Castiel Novak had a horrible past, filled with abuse and scars. He hadn't talked in years and was invisible in college. That all changed by a knock on his dorm room, revealing Sam Winchester. As he later on met Dean, his life turned upside down. *this takes place in the supernatural universe, not exactly following the storyline of the show.* Warning: - mentions of depression - mentions of abuse - some mature content Highest rankings: #1 - Destiel (12-03-2020 - 22-03-2020) (27-03-2020 - 02-04-2020) #1 - Depression #8 - Sad #1 - Novak #1 - Hunting #1 - Castiel #1 - Anxiety #7 - Gay
