Coming from a music-loving family, Tachibana Reiko loved playing the violin more than anything else. But ever since Reiko lost her best friend, Ichinose Rima, her life turned upside down. Well, whose life wouldn't after seeing your best friend, who is practically like a sister to you, die right in front of your eyes. As days passed, she became more and more distant. The previously so open and friendly Reiko now became cold to people she doesn't know and hestitant to make friends. Reiko started to hate music, and she never touched or even went near the violin anymore.

A year after Rima's death, Reiko's parents decided that it was time for Reiko to face her problems, and forced her to attend a music school. Will she be able to open up again? And most importantly, will she be able to rekindle her passion for music and the violin?

The beloved story of the piano prodigy returns as he embarks on a journey from being an awkward boy to a full fledged adult. Although just barely on the cusp of manhood, Arima Kousei already studies in his dream school, has a decent set of true friends, and is together with the most popular girl in the campus. However, there is one problem. A vacuum of space lies in the middle of his chest that used to house something very precious to him. Join Kousei as he tells his story through his own eyes, along with a few friends to help him out, on how he faces the tumultuous life of a teenager trying to move forward from a painful yet colorful memory. It begins just barely four years after he met the love of his life, Miyazono Kaori. Author's Note: This is the author's first entry in this site. His works before usually featured writing backstories for roleplaying builds in games and fantastical worlds from his imagination. The change in scenery is due to the author's "traumatic, but wonderfully memorable" experience from watching the anime series, "Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso". Don't get him wrong though. Even being a self proclaimed "otaku by heart", the show and manga is arguably his favorite to date. Although the ending is justifiably reasonable enough to cap such a beautiful story, he just really can't come to terms with it yet and decided to make a version of a sequel himself. Please bear with him. Disclaimer: Some of the characters, places, events, and objects in this light novel are not owned by the author, but created by the great Naoshi Arakawa himself. The story is purely fanfiction and should not be treated as canon.

So transmigration into a novel is real. Fantastic. But instead of waking up as the dazzling heroine or the cunning villainess... I got stuck as the cannon fodder side character. The one who showed up twice and died in a single sentence. Two scenes. One line of death. That's my entire legacy. Even the villainess gets more respect than me. Well, not this time. I refused to play. I got a second chance, and I'm taking it all- the story, the characters, and the author can choke on their own plot. _
