Her eyes. As a child, her eyes were always filled with joy, shinning with happiness. Anne knew her situation was less than ideal, and though she terribly missed her father, she always had Ms. Potts and her imagination. But she still yearned to feel loved.. The year when Anne turned thirteen was the year when Anne first felt that love. It was everything that Anne wanted, it was perfect. Almost addictive. She found it in Jacob King, a boy in her grade who seemed like a man to Anne. But one day she had to move away, and she was worried that Jacob wouldn't love her anymore.
