When Toby meets an odd duo in a marketplace, he's not quite sure what to make of them. A Spliced without a Balance? A moody girl with fiery death disks? No thanks. This seems like the last thing a runaway like Toby needs. But, they're interesting, and Toby's natural curiosity forces him to follow them headlong into a series of adventures wrapped around conspiracies, secrets, and ancient magic. Willa and Quin/List are good at keeping secrets, but how long can Toby keep his own secret hidden? And what will they do when they find out who he really is?

A Second Chance
Clay's life seems fine, but is everything except from fine due to bullies ruining his happiness day by day. His grandpa is the only one who knows everything about him, but when he gets really sick and passes away, Clay's life completely collapses. To regain his control, he starts developing obsessive behaviour, getting so bad that it turns into OCD. The control he tried to regain gets lost even further with the day. But when the only place, his sport, he finds peace also gets ruined by bullies and his OCD, George is suddenly there to stick up for him when everyone else isn't. After a year of living on the surface, monsters and humans have gotten along well, with (mostly) everyone adjusting to the many changes without much trouble. However, events take a strange turn when Sans and Papyrus--both of whom have been acting unlike themselves--go missing, supposedly without a trace. In their place are two monsters who go by the names of Wingdings and Aster, twins, claiming to be the lost Royal Scientist. Everyone is thrown for a loop, especially as nobody remembers a Wingdings or Aster--or, as they claim to be, "Dr. Gaster"--nor do they remember a Royal Scientist before Alphys. And with Sans and Papyrus missing, things don't look good for either of the boys. As their friends search for the missing skeletons, Wingdings and Aster work together to uncover what's happened while they were gone, as well as what might've caused everyone to forget them in the first place. But, trouble lurks within the shadows, as the Void closes in on them once again--refusing to let go of what belongs to it. Just a normal day in the Grassi-Hoying household...until Scott realizes he has feelings for Mitch. Will future horrific tragedies in their life strengthen their new relationship, or break it? Some smut, mainly PG-13 but if there is more than that, it will be listed next to the chapter title with an (R). Possibly mild triggers of depression later in the story, but not much. The chapters "Confrontation" and "A Game" are forming a background for some fans who may not know as much about Pentatonix or where they go/what they do as some of my friends wanted to read but don't know much about them.
