8th grade year all the way to the last year of high school. Sapphire goes through a ride of emotion. She over emotional, extremely short and doesn't understand that things aren't always going to be extremely perfect. In all of the love stories, there's the boy and the girl that fall in love and they have a happy ever after.

But marks a completely different story. He's tall and a complete badass. He loves her to death but doesn't completely understand her pain and her feelings. In this story, there's never a happy ending. Does the love connection sapphire and mark have enough for sapphire throughout her depressing trip in life? Mabey.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Erick an adopted son of his big shot parents, who has lived his life trying to be the perfect son, knowing fully well they are not his parents.
