The people didn't know it, but the property they thought they owned, was under the ownership of two opposing companies. Of course, these companies couldn't come in and take the homes people built, furnished to accommodate the lives they created, to stand up to the standards of who they were as individuals, but by means of extortion and lots of money from 'hidden donators' on the stock market, could lead to some impressive twisting of arms for a piece of real-estate, for the homes, the memories, the lives people built with the helping of a few walls.

The two companies have been around since the time of Rockefellers and all those old world prophets of American business. The Red Shoe Administration is owned by Loren Eros. His father had roots digging back to the Greeks, and the company was entrusted to him his 3rd year of college. He dropped out and took over rather quickly. The Navy Anchor Corp. is owned by Edward Sebastian. His father waited until Edward had his master's in business, to retire and entrust the company to him. Not even a month after giving the company to his son, he passed away. Some argue not having the stress of owning half of Chicago at his fingertips twenty-four seven led to his death, as if the stress kept some old aneurism at bay that should have killed him years ago.

As stated previously, the two companies have about, 50-50 control over the entire city of Chicago. The two rivals, the two best friends of the business world and yet are deadly enemies; Loren Eros and Edward Sebastian seemingly own everything.

That is, till it came to me.
