One hit changed everything, to the point I stood there shocked, and to the point another hit came over and over.
Maya Parks is 17 years old, she tends to stay by herself or with her best friend Sam Hill. When Maya's at school she likes to blend into the crowd, sometimes that doesn't work when you have the popular mean girl on your tale, Katie Gainer. Other than school Maya's at home. At home Maya lives with her mom and dad, her mom cleans and cooks while her dad works day and night. There is a problem with all of that though, this may seem like a normal family but really it's totally messed up. Maya's father is a drunk, when he comes home he is always angry and pissed off, he takes his anger out on Maya's mom, telling her she is worthless and a piece of shit.
But never before has he hit Maya, until one bad bad night.
And this is what the first part of the story is all about. The second part on the other hand will have to be discovered.
Who gives that one kiss? Was it forced? Is it love?
Will Maya ever be saved from her abuse?
