Amelia Vera has always been known. She's pretty, smart, and has a secret obsession with sports. Everyone wants to be her friend, except she's not popular.

Carter Wilson is your typical jerk. He drinks, parties, and always has a girl there when he needs one. Carter also happens to be the captain of the football team.

When one meets the other, Amelia can't stand Carter, but Carter can't seem to get enough of her. Then a school event brings them together.

Carter and Amelia decide to do something that has everyone shocked. They date. No not real dating, but a thing they like to call "fake dating".

Will Amelia's personality cause Carter to want more? Or will Carter's attitude push her away?

"Marek, don't do this. Keep your captainship. I'll tell the truth about what happened and we'll both be out of the deal." "But-" "I don't know what your doing, if you think this is going to win you attention or sympathy. Or maybe you are being a noble prat and doing as 'you should'. Plus, I don't mean anything to you. Never have, never will. So please, please, stop acting like I'm special. " "But you are." And then his voice cracked, and I cracked with it. ------------------------ She's sick of his arrogant ways, and the bragging. With her goal being to slap some sense into him, she makes a deal; they act like a couple in every sense of the word and the first one to fall in love? Loses. It's only when she realises he may not be such a terrible man after all that she doubts her ability to win. But what if the one thing she put on the line is the one thing she would die trying to protect? Will she allow a relationship to blossom under pressure from her past? **Disclaimer** The drawing in the cover isn't mine (but it was so pretty I used it anyway). If you know who it belongs to, tell me and I can give them the rightful credit. **Implication of sex and some minor bad language. Do not read unless mature enough.**
