Eighteen-year-old Scarlet has had a complicated year. It's been 6 months since Scarlet's reckless and abusive boyfriend, Sam, moved away and she is finally learning to breathe. However, it's Sam's voice that still haunts her at night. On top of this, Scarlet's family was changed forever when her father suddenly left, filing for divorce. Scarlet and her twin brother Alex are just trying to make it through senior year in one piece.

Scarlet's year is starting to look up when she meets Nathan and he actually fits into her friend group.
