The dominant one of the pair is allowed to pick where it is placed, but of course, it is located in the same spot as the other. That is why when Bakugou Katsuki finally gets his own soulmate marking, he is everything but delighted with the placing of it. However, his Soulmate isn't as bad as she seems. Or is she? Because with her goal to overthrow a corrupt government, he stands by her side no matter the consequences.

They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
