Mike is assigned to a planet that he has no interest in, flying in a ship that is cramped and uncomfortable with a crew that annoys him most of the time. He has just 12 months left until his mandatory service ends. If he can ride this out he'll be free to get back to his earth and spend time at the beach where he belongs.
On his last voyage, things go terribly wrong and the crew encounters a space oddity that has never been seen by human eyes before. One by one, the crew members begin to change, turning on each other. Mike finds himself in a fight for survival.
All he wanted was to finish his assignment and get home.
