I still hate that word: 'power.' It implies a difference. The ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way. That's a difference. The whole word seems out to get me. The whole word screams pretentious freak. It spits in my face. Many people will think a power is a blessing, like the power of invisibility or the power of x-ray vision or indeed the 'power' of flying. Yeah sure, being able to fly's cool. Being able to soar above rooftops is fun and speed down the pavement, or even just absent mindedly float two inches off the ground: very fun. But the looks you get, the awkward stares from the neighbours, people across the street. I have learnt to not be so obvious, to blend in. Everyone hides something, and the small thing I hide is that... well... I can fly.
