"Sometimes the only way to protect people, while still keeping them happy, is to not tell them what they are being protected against."
-Enoch Thornsburry, 1st Director of EAGLE (1784)

Tony Granthemus "Grant" Woods is no ordinary 17-year-old. He is trained in 13 different forms of martial arts, is fluent 9 languages, and can outshoot anyone in North America. On top of all that, he is an agent of EAGLE, a top-secret government organization dedicated to protecting the United States (and the rest of the world) from things society is not yet ready to face: aliens, supernatural happenings, ghosts, people and objects of power, you name it.
Grant was recruited for EAGLE's Underage Espionage Program, code named "Chameleon", when he was 13. Since then, he has risen through the ranks to become one of their best agents. His talents and supernatural ability to sense danger before it happens has led him to be trusted with some of EAGLE's most important missions.
At the age of 16, Grant was trusted with the long-term mission of running security to protect Rey Garant, Director Alexander Garant's impulsive and strong-willed daughter. His orders were simple and straightforward: protect her, but do it in secret. Don't let her find out about EAGLE.
At first these orders are easy to follow, but as time goes on and Grant grows closer to Rey, who happens to be his age, the secrets get harder and harder to keep.
As if that wasn't enough, EAGLE has found itself in the middle of a worldwide race between countries to uncover the Azdarak, a mysterious ancient gem that is rumored to have the ability to power the entire world, or to destroy it. When Grant goes on the case, and begins to dig deeper, he realizes things are not what they seem. People are not who they seem.
He has enemies everywhere. And quite a few of them appear to be within EAGLE itself.
