Suddenly there was a huge roar. I take a step back covering my ears, my head spins, it is so loud I can't hear myself think. I stand at the mouth of the cave that yawns wide open on the side of a cave. Its big, bigger than a mountain lion bigger than a bear. And I am about to walk into it's cave. But I HAVE to find out what it is. What if there IS a dragon? It will eat me for sure. but I keep going, I just need to make sure it doesn't see me. I walk to this opening as the path split in two edging me across the wall. I will be careful, silent, it will never know I was even here. There is a rocky cliff side and a drop. I look up from my thought and my eyes lock with gleaming golden eyes. I freeze every muscle in my body locks and I can't move. Towering taller than a building stands something I never thought could exist. A dragon. My heart pounded in my ears as my blood ran cold.Complete
Life on the Edge

He also knows Hiccup needs to stop being so reckless but, at this point, that one's more hope than anything. Seven young adults living on their own island with basically no supervision. The money he made was good, but not enough to last them. The reward? The deed to a gold mine. And the job? To investigate some desolate woods for missing people. It was as easy as they came. What a load of crap. The second Killjoy stepped foot into those forests, he knew something was not right. Desecrated bodies, the eerily empty mines and woods devoid of any light or humans, and the gnawing hunger that grew in him no matter how much he ate through his rations. Something was not right. One day as the dragon of the mountain is flying home after an unsucsessful hunt he finds the smell of a human coming from his cave. He hurries home to find a boy who wants a piece of his treasure in exchange for 20 deer. The boy needs it to please his family. He agrees feeling pity for the boy as he also had tried in vain to please his own family. After the boy leaves the dragon eats the meet and falls asleep, when he wakes up he realised that the boy must have returned after the dragon gave him a piece of treasure and had taken everything. In dismay the dragon finds that the boy had taken a very valuable and precious thing and now the is on an adventure to get it back.Complete
