The world is collapsing around Sue-Bert McCormic. To her, it seems like everything is ending- writing class, drawing class, school, guitar lessons. Now that to most people, that doesn't seem like it would be that bad. But to someone with chronic depression and two friends, it is. Sue-Bert feels so alone while her friends neglect her, choosing other activities and friends over her. She must learn who she really is without any influence from her friends. Sue-Bert is on a journey to find who she really is without much help.
I am so excited to write this because this book closely relates to my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Sue-Bert will let you experience how I feel at the low points of my life. I actually got this idea when I was at my last writing class which was held on the beach. There are some giant rocks on the beach, so people decided to carve their names or messages into the stone. I found the name Sue-Bert McCormic. I wanted to create a character that I could use to incorporate some aspects of my personality into while still making them their own person.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
