Gayle Winters is fresh out of high school and fresh out of the south. Now free from her parent's strict rules, she moves to Brooklyn, New York to prepare for her first year at Fordham University. There, she plans on becoming a script writer. Fortunately for her, she lands a job at a downtown café in The Big Apple. Her parents, knowing they wouldn't change her mind about moving so far away, bought her a nice apartment where she resides. Things seemed to be going smoothly, but things get bumpier.

The charming Alessandro Kinder has escaped to New York City after a hard life in Italy. After an incident involving he and his family, he decided to move to the United States. He needed a fresh start, and he received his fresh start after becoming a cab driver for a family friend, Phil. Originally, his plans were to save up enough money to start his own restaurant. He figured he would accomplish this by sticking to those who he could trust and no one else. That was until a certain young woman came his way...

Neither of the two knew what would come to them, or how. After meeting each other due to certain circumstances, both start to experience things they never thought possible.

But can things stay steady, or will his past change everything?
