I never saw it coming, I want my life back....

But that's no longer a choice...

-----WARNING-----

"Please let me go" I begged my body week and tired

"I wish I could" he breathed out a raspy breath....

                                   *****

The air I breath is the same as you, and I'd like to know if that's true.
Your heart and mind are controlling you,
Or is it the fact your bones are blue?
And why is your face so pale?
You say my name, your lungs exhale.
You sigh in regret to what we had.
O didn't know I mad you, so mad.

The speaker grunted out the lyrics to Bones Are Blue -Melanie Martinez

"This is gonna be boring" I sigh picking up my phone from the desk next to me,

"Why can't you just stay with meeeeee" Lizzie shout/sang

"I don't know Liz, maybe because my parents don't think responsible enough to hang out with a 18 that drinks whiskey instead of eat breakfast" I laugh as Lizzie wobbles on the seat nearly falling off.

"Ok wellllllll maybe we can can during the days I'm here" she grinned at me,

"Ughhh I'm going to to miss you so much" I said standing up, Lizzie tried to snap her fingers but failed with doing so she fell of the chair that she had been sitting on for the past hour, I laughed at her simple mistake and helped her up.

"Hey look Liz you get back I will close up the shop" I smiled genuinely

"Fine, but give me a kiss" she winked

"I told you I'm not lesbian Lizzie" I laughed at the try hard lesbian femme, her ombré hair cascaded along her shoulders.

"You're so mean, can't a girl get a kiss." She laughed, I walked over hugging her tightly shutting my eyes.

A musically talented teen with her sights set on the spotlight must find a way to get her life back when she falls in with the mob. ***** In a city where con artists make the rules and aspiring females wear sequins and dance with a pole, Melody Holiday refuses to ride on the coattails of her semi-famous grandfather. She wants the freedom to choose her own path to showbiz greatness. When a chance meeting with a handsome stranger provides Mel with an opportunity, she thinks she's landed the big one. But her grandpa isn't thrilled with the direction Mel's career is going, and it's not until she stumbles across something she probably shouldn't have that this becomes clear. Perhaps meeting the stranger with the Rocky Balboa eyes wasn't by chance. Maybe Mel is rubbing elbows with the kind of people who could take away her freedom for good. This story is loosely based on the author's feral youth. So, if you like your fiction shaken not stirred with a sprinkle of badboy on the rim, NEON GIRL delivers the goods; giving readers a dose of drama, a dash of romance, and a heaping helping of Las Vegas schmaltz. Oh, and there's a killer playlist, too. WATTYS WINNER! LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction and owned by the author.
