As a daily Destiny player, I have gotten curious as to the back story of all aspects of Destiny. What's the purpose of the Traveler? What is The Vault of Glass? Where did Eris Morn come from? What is the Nine?
So... I dabbled with some grimoire cards and a few websites to get this: the Destiny Encyclopedia!

Why? That seemed to be a question you've been asking yourself a lot lately. Growing up in the underground was tough. You needed to fight for survival, food, money, and even-your freedom. Danny, you're despicable "father", had you stealing from him any chance he got. He was slick and manipulative. Having to steal valuables for him all while taking care of two kids, Kai and Mary, was really hard. The responsibility you held was weighing down on you, making you think more about them and less about you. You didn't mind though. Anything to stay away from the sinful place you call home. After a while of putting up with Danny though, you had you're last straw ripped away when he hurt you're beloved Mary. You ran away to start a new life, taking Mary with you. You become known as "Shade", a mysterious cloaked criminal known for your stealth and strength. You took pride in your reputation, and the best part was, nobody knew anything about you. From your face down to you're gender, it was all concealed. It was all cloaked. But all this changed once they found you. They took you in, capturing you to mold you into a soldier fighting for the survey corps. You despised the survey corps at first. After all, they stole you from your home. Took you away from the people you loved. They ruined your life, right? But... did they? You're stubbornness and skill capture the attention of a certain short black haired male. Corporal Levi was humanities strongest though, he couldn't like you, could he? He couldn't... At first it seemed strange but pleasant to finally get noticed, but soon you realized, nothing good came from the Corporal. In fact, your life seemed to turn into a living Dystopia. Destiny: War Of Sol - Book Nine
This story is the ninth in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. This saga is NOT intended to be 100% lore accurate, and should be taken as an alternate timeline from the main canon. The primary purpose of this fanfiction is to re-tell the story that takes place in Destiny and its sequel, Destiny 2, but with a twist. The twist being that the playable "Guardian" character, who is known to be a blank-slate one-man-army amongst a roster of developed characters, is instead a team of multiple Guardians who all have their own backstories and personalities. The plot of this saga will follow the plot of the game its based on closely, but not exactly. There are a number of twists such as the main cast, as well as several other plot points, for the sake of originality, as well as to serve as an interesting narrative for those who are aware of Destiny's plot. Primarily, this story will follow the perspective of a Titan-class Guardian named Chrytor-6, but is told from the third-person, allowing for perspectives to change whether it be scene to scene or book to book, as our main character, Chrytor-6, will not always be the focus.

Bound By Destiny (book 1)
It all started years ago, from a young age Selene had always been....well different. Some say the girl was marked by Destiny, others said she was cursed. Out of 100 girls she was the only one to survive a horrifying ordeal, One she hardly remembers herself. All she knows is years later she's a rare type of mutant, she went against the normal laws and rules, such as having no emotion. She could still access them, she could still feel and bond. Yet she never wanted to. At least not until destiny decided to kick her in the face. And to think it all started that simple stupid winters day in a run down town in a seemingly empty market. That's when it all changed. Now I own absolutely nothing, some ideas have been altered to fit my story. But I do not own any of the characters except for Selene and any other OC. The idea is my own however with influence from The books, game and show combined. Enjoy the story.Complete

The vault of glass. Often a debated topic by the warlocks of the upper order. Who built it? When was it built? Does it have a higher purpose? No one truly knows the answer. It's a place of true mystery and wonder. Often warlocks talk about wanting to and run surveys and tests on the rare metals that are placed around the vault. Recently. After Oryx's arrival in the solar system and the discovery of the taken, questions have averted back to the vault. This time. About its effect to the light. Do the vex know weakness in guardian's? Can light be effected by time? Can the Times Conflux - Atheon somehow alter the light in guardian's? A failed expedition to the vault for a lonley hunter may just answer that question...Complete

The Guardian of the North (Robb Stark) Completed

The guardians are an ancient race that once ruled over Westeros. They were made mainly to protect, keep the peace and later on to defeat the white walkers that posed a huge threat to their country. When the Targaryens had won the Iron Throne, the tables turned on the guardians as all of them were wiped out in a matter of months. Elena Snow always thought that she was the only guardian left. It was when Ned Stark had taken her in to protect his family for the rest of her life that she found out that she was kept alive for a reason, that reason being to protect Robb Stark from the guardian they called the Dark One. So I basically wrote this book because I hate it that Robb died. I decided to add a complete new storyline to it but to also follow the original plotline. Btw, this is somewhat multifandom... Like there are characters such as Steven and Sam, Louis etc. that are from a lot of other fandoms. So expect a lot of references! I do not own the characters in this book, exept for Elena Snow (and a whole lot of others tbh, mainly the guardians). All the rights go to George R. R. Multiverse Destiny (K/DA x Guardian Male Reader)(D1 x LoL)
Y/N, a human guardian that protects the Traveler and all he holds dear. It is his duty to push back the darkness, hopefully eradicating it from existence with his light. This... guardian, like many others, has hardly any background, has hardly any features. Hell, he had quite the identity crisis until he got more experienced. What helps him is every piece of the old world that he finds about himself or perhaps life before him, how they used to live, what he used to be, along with his fireteam, Boris and Chase. It wasn't until the Vault of Glass, did life seem to change for him... a new world needed exploring... was it is destiny, or was it... tragedy? (The initial story is a Destiny 1, you read right, OLD DESTINY ONE, fanfiction. The what-if stories are DESTINY 2 fanfictions, played by different classes.) P.S.
