Cara Nielsen's entire working career has revolved around sorting out the problems of the Avengers and other miscellaneous S.H.I.E.L.D. members that surround them which is a pretty interesting task.
From Iron Man to Thor, she's had the whole lot in her office on at least one occasion (many more with the likes of Stark and Banner), consulting her for advice or asking for help with dealing with what they do.
Her agenda changes drastically however, when a new patient is brought to the building and placed permanently on her books while the others are reassigned to a new therapist just out of college. All she knows is that she'll see him every day to conduct rigourous psychoanalysis on what Hydra has done to his brain.
Beyond that... she's in the dark.

When new intel comes through about a Hydra weapon, the avengers split into two teams, one checking out a new base, while the other scours an old one. It's no coincidence that the intel comes through, and they find files about experiments done to one person. 'winter 2.0' the team calls her, but to Bucky, the fear sinks in as memories resurface about one soldier in particular, Ace. Stronger, deadlier and she made the winter soldier in him afraid. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Who is the masked assailant, and why is it, she listened to him? **** The soldier begins to remember her past, fighting against all the Hydra conditioning, to remember who she was. Why does one of the men stand out? Who is he, and why does she have an overwhelming need to protect him? She knows Hydra will stop at nothing to get their soldiers back, but will she submit to Hydra or fight for right to live free? Picking up after the fight with Killian aboard the Norco, Izzy has fully retired from SHIELD, now living and working with Tony, at the tower. She was focused on making sure it was ready for the other Avengers, when they returned. Though she still hasn't told Rogers, she finds he is more annoying than she cared for.
