There are necklaces we are given at birth. Each one with an intricate unique design, but it was only half of the whole thing. Only our soulmates were given the other half.   If we were close to our soulmates, the necklaces got warmer. When we were far from each other, they would go cold. Everyone would journey to find their other half, in hopes of their release from their necklaces.  Many thought the necklaces were a curse. Others believed they were miracles.   The necklace was made to spare the pain and heartbreaks of those who could not find their soulmates. It stopped people from being used by each other. It also kept the people from over populating the earth. It was perfect. Or so it was thought to be... This would be really boring. You don't need to waste time reading this. Not just boring, it might be even heartbreaking. The story was still going on, and therefore I had no idea whether it would end in a tragedy or not, but I had a feeling it would. And it did. We broke up under the striking, burning sun of 19th September, 2016. I write usually in a monotone description, therefore don't judge if you read this. (If you're interested my other stories are way better,,,) Bangchanxreader Soulmate au Soulmate necklaces were such a common occurrence, that it wasn't a surprise that it was your soulmate connection. you felt that you were quite an average person, with an average personality and average looks. You felt like your necklace was the most unique thing about you, other necklaces you had seen were all normal shapes usually split cleanly down the middle, but yours was meant to be a circle, it wasn't split straight down the middle, the pendants edges were jagged, almost as if it was cracked on impact, not carefully cut like the others. The color of the pendent was a rich forest green,a color as vibrant as the green leaves outside after a down pour of rain, you had grown to love the color seeing as you had the necklace with you at all times. All soulmate necklaces had their own unique trait to connect you and your soulmate along with getting warmer the closer you are and colder the farther apart the two of you were. Yours was quite diverse depending on how you or your soulmate were feeling, you could feel each others heartbeats when you touched the necklace or on more rare occasions you could hear each other's voices. Your necklace will be colder the farther away you are from your soulmate and then hotter the closer you are to your soulmate.
