Marilyn comes from a shitty background, she was forced into foster care at the age of seven when her parents died in a car crash. She was adopted by two rich parents who instead wanting to love her, bought everything she wanted. From others point of view she looked like a normal popular girl with he own small group of friends. She eventually started getting lonely and when she was doing a research project she came across a site called memeetyou.com where she met Josue.

Josue goes to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as a quarter back. He comes from a family who has worked for everything they have. Josue never had a cell phone until he went to college when his whole family pulled money together to get one and that is when he was able to sign up for Memeetyou.com and he met Marilyn. Marilyn seemed to of been distant and she seemed like the rich kid so he lied and said he was also rich but he was a poor kid from a Vietnamese family who was refugees.

Now it is up to both of them to figure out how to survive alone as they cross states and miles of infected land to meet up and fight this apocalypse together.
