The Doctor seeks the help of a new companion, Sherlock Holmes. The duo are traveling when the TARDIS is sucked into a parallel universe, where mysteries (possibly concerning aliens) are lying in the shadows. In the midst of the case, the Doctor and Sherlock meet an unexpected visitor.
