Type 1 - A diabetic story

Kyla was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 8 years old. Ever since, she's had the struggle of keeping her sugars in range, testing her blood, and lots and lots of needles. But she's not only left with the problem of diabetes. When Kyla starts off the third grade as being 'the girl with the virus', she feels very alone and unwanted. Until she discovers the girl sitting next to her in class. She finds that sometimes you don't always need to be 'popular' to feel like you belong. If you got a true friend, that's better than a million fake ones.
